Reserve an establishing plant

Preorder and Reservation Terms

Additional terms for plants reserved before they become ready for dispatch.

Price and staged payment

When preorders are open, the product page shows the standard price, any preorder saving, total preorder price, reservation payment and remaining balance. The reservation payment forms part of the full price and is not an additional fee.

Estimated readiness

Readiness dates are estimates because plants are living products. Establishment may take longer than expected. Material delays will be communicated and any statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.

Reservation protection

A preorder reserves one place from an eligible establishment batch. A suitable individual Plant ID is assigned only after final health and readiness checks, when it moves to Stock. Internal candidate matching may change before then without changing the customer's place, payment or order priority. Healthy plants are kept unreserved as protection rather than releasing the whole batch for preorder.

One reservation per batch

Each customer may hold one active reservation for an establishment listing or batch. Different customers may reserve while safe preorder places remain. If a suitable healthy plant cannot be supplied, the existing replacement or refund terms apply.

Balance request

When the plant has established and passed its final health check, an email will state the remaining balance and payment instructions. Dispatch occurs only after the balance is received and confirmed.

Customer cancellation

Contact Snip & Sprout as soon as possible. A reservation payment is not automatically forfeited. Any amount retained must be lawful, fair and reflect actual losses that cannot reasonably be avoided. Statutory cancellation and refund rights are unaffected.

Failure or unsuitable plant

If propagation fails, the plant becomes unsuitable, or the reserved quantity cannot be supplied, the customer will be offered an appropriate replacement where agreed or a full refund of payments for the affected plant.

Unpaid balance

If the balance is not paid after reasonable notice, the reservation may be cancelled and the plant released. Any refund or deduction will be handled in accordance with consumer law and the actual circumstances.

Important: Do not reserve a plant unless you accept that the readiness date is an estimate and payment is split into stages.
